Tuning up

Student Agreement

Studio policies.

Train Your Voice. Awaken Your Sound.

These policies are designed to maintain a professional, consistent, respectful, and productive learning environment for all Arpeggigon Studios students. By enrolling in and/or participating in lessons, students and, when applicable, their parent or legal guardian agree to follow the policies below.

1

Cancellation & Missed Lessons

  • Lessons must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time.
  • It is the responsibility of the student or, for minors, the parent/legal guardian to communicate all cancellations directly with Arpeggigon Studios.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson are considered late cancellations and may be charged the full lesson fee.
  • Students who do not attend a scheduled lesson and do not provide notice will be considered a no-show and will be charged the full lesson fee.
  • Exceptions may be granted at the discretion of Arpeggigon Studios for illness, family emergencies, severe weather, or other legitimate extenuating circumstances.
  • Repeated late cancellations, missed lessons, no-shows, or patterns of inconsistent attendance may result in the loss of a recurring lesson time or termination of lessons.
2

Rescheduling & Make-Up Lessons

  • Lessons canceled with at least 24 hours' notice may be eligible to be rescheduled.
  • All make-up and rescheduled lessons are subject to the instructor's availability. A specific day or time cannot be guaranteed.
  • The instructor is not required to rearrange existing students, personal obligations, or other scheduled commitments to accommodate a make-up lesson.
  • Late cancellations and no-shows are generally not eligible for make-up lessons.
  • A make-up lesson that has been scheduled and is subsequently missed or canceled late may be forfeited.
3

Financial Responsibility

  • A valid payment method must be kept on file for students receiving ongoing lessons.
  • A pre-payment invoice will generally be sent two days before the scheduled lesson. Payment must be received by the stated deadline to secure the lesson.
  • If payment is not received, Arpeggigon Studios reserves the right to cancel or release the scheduled lesson time.
  • The student or financially responsible parent/legal guardian is responsible for all applicable lesson charges.
  • By maintaining a payment method on file, the financially responsible party authorizes Arpeggigon Studios to charge applicable lesson fees, including fees resulting from late cancellations or missed lessons, in accordance with these Studio Policies and any applicable payment authorization.
  • If a payment is declined or fails, the outstanding balance must be resolved before additional lessons may take place.
4

Late Arrival

  • Students are expected to arrive or log in on time and prepared for their scheduled lesson.
  • If a student arrives late, the lesson will still end at its originally scheduled time. Additional time cannot be guaranteed because another student or commitment may immediately follow.
  • Students who are significantly late without communication may be considered a no-show.
  • The full lesson fee remains applicable when a lesson is shortened because of a student's late arrival.
5

Instructor Cancellations

  • If Arpeggigon Studios must cancel a lesson, the student will not be penalized.
  • The affected lesson will be rescheduled based on mutual availability or an appropriate lesson credit/refund will be provided when applicable.
  • Instructor cancellations will never count as student cancellations or missed lessons.
6

Communication

  • Consistent communication is necessary for maintaining lessons with Arpeggigon Studios.
  • Students and parents/legal guardians are responsible for responding to important communications concerning scheduling, cancellations, payments, and lesson continuation within a reasonable period of time.
  • Schedule changes and cancellations should be communicated directly through an approved communication method provided by Arpeggigon Studios.
  • Repeated failure to communicate regarding scheduled lessons, outstanding payments, or continuation of instruction may result in the student's recurring time being released or lessons being terminated.
7

Recurring Lesson Times

  • Students who attend weekly or otherwise recurring lessons may be assigned a regular lesson time.
  • A recurring lesson time is reserved specifically for that student and should be treated as an ongoing commitment.
  • Repeated cancellations, missed lessons, late payments, or extended periods of inactivity may result in the recurring time being released and made available to another student.
  • If a student needs to temporarily pause lessons, Arpeggigon Studios should be notified as early as possible. The same recurring time cannot be guaranteed upon the student's return.
8

Discontinuing Lessons

  • Students may discontinue lessons by providing written notice to Arpeggigon Studios.
  • Students with recurring lesson times are encouraged to provide at least 7 days' notice before discontinuing instruction whenever reasonably possible.
  • Any outstanding balances remain the responsibility of the student or financially responsible parent/legal guardian.
  • Arpeggigon Studios reserves the right to discontinue instruction because of repeated missed lessons, excessive cancellations, nonpayment, persistent lack of communication, inappropriate conduct, or repeated violations of Studio Policies.
  • Serious conduct or safety concerns may result in immediate termination of lessons.
9

Student Conduct

  • Arpeggigon Studios is committed to maintaining a welcoming, professional, and respectful learning environment.
  • Students are expected to treat the instructor, other students, families, facility staff, and others involved with the studio respectfully.
  • Harassment, threats, discriminatory behavior, intentional disruption, destruction of property, or behavior that creates an unsafe learning environment will not be tolerated.
  • Depending on the severity of the behavior, Arpeggigon Studios may issue a warning, end the lesson, or terminate instruction.
10

Online Lessons

  • Students participating in online lessons are responsible for having a suitable device, reliable internet connection, functional camera and/or microphone when required, and an appropriate environment for instruction.
  • Students should test their equipment before the lesson whenever possible.
  • Technical difficulties originating from the student's equipment or internet connection do not automatically qualify the lesson for a refund or make-up.
  • If a significant technical problem originates from the instructor's equipment or connection and prevents the lesson from being completed, Arpeggigon Studios will make reasonable arrangements to reschedule or credit the affected instructional time.
11

In-Person Lessons

  • Students should arrive on time and prepared for in-person lessons.
  • Students must comply with the rules and requirements of any studio, rehearsal space, school, facility, or other location used for instruction.
  • Students who are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness should communicate with the instructor before attending an in-person lesson.
  • Parents/legal guardians are responsible for arranging timely transportation, drop-off, and pickup for minors.
  • Arpeggigon Studios is not responsible for supervising a minor outside of the student's scheduled instructional time unless otherwise agreed upon.
12

Students Under 18

  • Students under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to participate in lessons.
  • The parent/legal guardian is responsible for financial obligations associated with the student's lessons and for ensuring compliance with scheduling, cancellation, communication, transportation, and payment requirements.
  • Important studio communications regarding minors may be directed to the parent/legal guardian.
13

Recording, Photography & Media

  • Arpeggigon Studios may occasionally wish to photograph, record, or otherwise document lessons, performances, student achievements, or studio activities.
  • A student's participation in lessons does not automatically grant Arpeggigon Studios permission to use the student's name, image, likeness, voice, or performance for advertising, social media, promotional materials, or other public-facing content.
  • Separate permission will be obtained before identifiable student media is used for promotional or public purposes.
  • For students under 18, appropriate parent/legal guardian consent must be obtained.
  • Students are not required to provide promotional media consent as a condition of receiving instruction.
14

Lesson Materials & Practice

  • Students may receive exercises, warm-ups, repertoire, recordings, sheet music recommendations, practice assignments, or other educational materials as part of instruction.
  • Students are encouraged to practice consistently between lessons and arrive prepared with assigned materials.
  • Individual progress varies and depends on factors including attendance, practice habits, previous experience, physical development, and consistent application of instruction. Arpeggigon Studios does not guarantee a particular result, performance opportunity, audition outcome, or rate of progress.
  • Students are responsible for legally obtaining any required sheet music, backing tracks, books, or other copyrighted materials unless otherwise provided.
15

Health & Vocal Safety

  • Students should communicate when experiencing vocal discomfort, illness, fatigue, or other circumstances that may affect their ability to participate safely in vocal exercises.
  • Students should not intentionally continue an exercise that causes pain.
  • Voice instruction is educational in nature and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, speech-language pathology, or other licensed healthcare services. When appropriate, students may be encouraged to seek evaluation from a qualified healthcare professional.
16

Policy & Rate Changes

  • Arpeggigon Studios reserves the right to update its lesson rates, scheduling procedures, payment procedures, and Studio Policies.
  • Students and/or parents/legal guardians will receive reasonable notice of material changes whenever practicable.
  • Continued participation in lessons after updated policies become effective may require acknowledgement of the revised policies.
